Where it clicks
- The LIE takes the IEE's creative bond-reading with real gratitude — a suggestive Fi slot is all the LIE has in that department. Which partner is loyal, which cofounder will bolt? The IEE reads the person over one lunch. The LIE, blind there, budgets for the verdict.
- The LIE's method feeds an appetite the IEE's mobilizing Te really does have. Shown how to invoice properly, the IEE actually does it, is pleased about it, and comes back for the next module. The LIE enjoys having one attentive student.
- Delta and gamma both value Te with Fi — usefulness and personal loyalty over ceremony. Neither demands the other perform enthusiasm at the office party, and both count that as a benefit in kind.
- The IEE's base Ne plays straight into the LIE's demonstrative slot, so the leaps get followed without effort and extended with market numbers. Their brainstorms end with three viable spin-offs and one restraining budget.
- Their careers cross-pollinate. The IEE supplies the unlikely contact; the LIE converts the introduction into a venture. Both of them keep score loosely, and always in the other's favor.
Where it grinds
- The LIE's creative Ni disappears into the IEE's ignoring slot. The five-year roadmap gets admired, then cheerfully violated by an IEE who follows the newest interesting person out of the building. Strategy has met weather.
- Si has no strength on either side — the LIE's vulnerable slot, the IEE's suggestive one. Both forget lunch. Both despise the gym they pay for. Each waits for the other to institute dinner.
- The IEE's vulnerable Ti runs up against the LIE's ignoring Ti. When the partnership needs its terms defined at last — who owns what percent of which idea — there's no document, and no appetite to draft one.
- The LIE mines the IEE's gift for due diligence and never once turns it on themselves. Ask what the LIE could become and the IEE has had an answer ready for years. The question never comes.
- They handle money on quadra lines — the gamma LIE reinvests, the delta IEE disperses it across people and causes. The joint account funds a stranger's recording studio for exactly one quarter before the LIE installs controls, politely.
