SLE and ESI: supervision (ESI supervises SLE)
SLE and ESI are not on level ground: ESI leads with the element SLE is weakest at, and presses on it without effort or intent. Supervision has a direction, so ESI and SLE live in the same relation differently — one feels watched, the other feels interested. The compatibility is asymmetric.

§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- Open conflict with outsiders scares neither of them. Each has watched the other win one, approved of the method, and said nothing about it. In this pair, that counts as applause.
- The ESI's boundaries come in the one grammar the SLE actually parses: a line stated once, then held with creative Se. No hints. No atmosphere. No invoice arriving weeks later.
- Moving day, a relative to defend, a debt to collect: the SLE supplies the force gladly and asks few questions. The ESI supplies the questions in advance. That's the correct order.
- Neither treats shopping around as sport. The trip gets booked in a single evening, the car in a single afternoon. To both of them, that speed is ordinary, not remarkable.
- Deeds are the currency loyalty gets paid in here — base Fi keeping the kind of accounts base Se can actually pay. The SLE shows up at three in the morning with a truck. The ESI remembers it for a decade.
Where it grinds
- One question stays open in the ESI's base Fi. What do you actually feel about me. The SLE's vulnerable slot answers with plans and logistics, and the ESI reads evasion where the blindness is real. Nothing about the evenings changes.
- That one uses you, the ESI rules about a friend, with a base-Fi certainty the SLE has no way to inspect. The SLE keeps the friend. The doubt stays too, from then on.
- By what principle am I wrong, demands the SLE's creative Ti in the middle of an argument. The ESI has a judgment, not a scheme. They resent being asked to file paperwork on a conviction.
- Over the thermostat, the route, and the pace, targeted creative Se runs into standing base Se. The fights are brief, loud, and settled by whoever cares more that day. The margins are thin. Both of them know it.
- With daily proximity, the ESI's moral reading of the SLE accumulates into a file the SLE never knew was open. The contents get delivered during some unrelated argument. They blindside the SLE completely.
