Where it clicks
- IEE genuinely learns — the input lands on an eager slot.
- ESE gets an attentive, energizing audience.
- Clean as teacher-and-student; less clean as equals.
Where it grinds
- The asymmetry compounds: IEE orbits, ESE drifts.
- ESE's own requests somehow never quite register with IEE.
- Both call it friendship; only one would call it nourishing.
