IEI and SLE: duality
IEI and SLE are duals, the easiest of the sixteen relations. Duality is a claim about coverage: what SLE and IEI each find expensive, the other does without noticing. It is the strongest compatibility claim on this site.
Easy. The one. Each of you leads with the thing the other most wants handed to them. The claim is narrow: coverage, not chemistry. Duals make each other's lives easier, not more exciting.

§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- The SLE is ready to force the issue today. The IEI's base Ni says wait until September — the manager's already on the way out. The SLE, who takes advice from no one, takes this. Suggestive Ni receives good timing as a gift.
- The IEI can drift around a decision for months. The SLE books the tickets in one sitting. What looks like violence from outside lands on the IEI's suggestive Se as a rescue. The relief is real, and neither of them dresses it up.
- After the win, the IEI's creative Fe stages the celebration the SLE would never have asked for. Mobilizing Fe means the SLE actually enjoys the fuss — as long as somebody else builds the occasion.
- The deposit dispute, the refund, the landlord: the SLE's demonstrative Te handles the whole file before the IEI finishes dreading it. The vulnerable Te gets covered, and no efficiency lecture comes attached.
- There's an unspoken layer between people that the SLE just can't see. The IEI's demonstrative Fi decodes it in passing: she wasn't angry about the chair, she was testing you. The blind spot gets serviced without ceremony.
Where it grinds
- For entertainment, the SLE audits the IEI's finances out loud, and the demonstrative Te comes out ironic. The crack about a gross annual revenue of zero lands on the IEI's vulnerable Te and stays there for a week.
- The IEI signals hurt through atmosphere — a shift in the room's weather. The SLE's vulnerable Fi registers nothing until the fog is total. Then the SLE demands the grievance in coordinates, and to the IEI, stating it plainly would count as a defeat.
- A free Saturday exposes the club gap. The SLE wants terrain — a hill, a market, an opponent. The IEI wants an afternoon inside one unbroken mood. The compromise trip ends with the SLE marching and the IEI narrating.
- The shove that rescued the IEI in March flattens them in April. Suggestive Se has a dosage, and the SLE's base Se runs all day. Past the wanted dose, the pressure stops reading as care and starts reading as weather.
- The IEI's warnings arrive as images: this will end badly, I can feel the shape of it. The SLE wants a map reference, doesn't get one, and acts anyway. Later the IEI mourns having been right. The SLE files that under unhelpful.
