SEI and EII run one way: EII leads with what SEI is trying to grow, so the admiration flows in one direction. Benefit makes EII and SEI a clean teacher-and-student pair and an awkward pair of equals. The compatibility is real for one of them and thin for the other.

§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- The SEI is grateful for the EII's creative readings, which pour into a suggestive Ne slot. The EII sees what the SEI's small pottery habit could become, and the SEI, who'd never have claimed it alone, enrolls at the studio.
- The SEI's base comfort-making answers a real hunger in the EII's mobilizing Si. The EII forgets their own meals inside other people's crises. On the SEI's ambient schedule they get fed, rested, warmed — and visibly improve.
- Gentleness is policy on both sides — alpha and delta both value Ne with Si. Nobody ever raises a voice in this kitchen. Each privately considers that the household's finest feature.
- The EII's base Fi arrives at a demonstrative slot in the SEI, so the fine moral distinctions get followed with ease. The SEI knows exactly who wronged whom in the EII's telling, and bakes accordingly.
- When they host, the work divides along club lines. The SEI runs the room's physical ease; the EII takes the one struggling guest off to a quiet corner. People leave mended in two different ways.
Where it grinds
- The SEI's creative Fe never clears the EII's ignoring slot. All that cheerful atmosphere-tending reads to the EII as pleasant noise around the real, private substance of feeling. The SEI entertains. The EII waits for the actual conversation.
- Te is missing on both sides — vulnerable for the SEI, suggestive and unfed for the EII. The furnace quote goes unchallenged and the invoice goes unsent. Money problems get handled by mutual, tactful silence.
- Se is missing too: the EII holds it as vulnerable, the SEI ignores it. Every confrontation gets outsourced or skipped. The loud neighbor stays loud, and both pretend the earplugs were the plan all along.
- The EII's principled verdicts keep asking the SEI to drop people who happen to be physically pleasant company. The SEI nods at the verdict, then goes on having tea with the accused. In the EII's ledger, that counts as a discrepancy.
- The EII's depth gets the admiration; the SEI's craft gets consumed as climate. Years of warm rooms and well-timed meals register as the house just being nice. Then the SEI goes on strike once, and nothing is where it should be, including dinner.
