Small unkindnesses everyone else lets pass stay with an INFj. Quietly, and mostly unmentioned. Their sense of who a person really is forms slowly and holds firm. Reputation almost never changes it. They'll go on being perfectly polite to someone they privately wrote off years ago.
An INFj reads what each person could become and holds the door open for it. Their weak spot is direct pressure (vulnerable Se): they yield in the moment and carry the encounter for days. They gratefully accept practical, competent help (suggestive Te) and appreciate calm everyday comfort (mobilizing Si).

§2 How it actually goes
Strong or weak is how much capacity the seat has; valued or unvalued is whether an INFj wants to spend time there.
An INFj sees the version of someone that isn't visible yet. They can describe it in a way that person can't argue with. It comes gently, and when asked. Mostly it serves someone else's growth. Their own potential is the one they're reliably worst at seeing.
An INFj can be precise and systematic when a situation calls for it. The argument laid out properly, the categories kept straight, the inconsistency named. But it's careful work, not natural work. Weeks of forced formal rigor leave them tired and a little defensive. They'd take being right about a person over being right about a definition.
Direct pressure does real damage to an INFj. Someone raising their voice, pushing for an answer now, or just taking up the whole room brings on retreat, not resistance. Then a long private reckoning. They're far more capable than this makes them look. Pressure is what keeps it hidden.
Practical advice lands on an INFj as relief, not condescension. This is the better product. This is the efficient way. That form goes there. Someone who takes the machinery off their hands is worth more to them than any amount of sympathy. Left to run it alone, they do everything the long way. Then they blame their own competence for the exhaustion.
Attention to daily comfort lifts an INFj far more than they'd ever think to arrange. A good routine, a pleasant room, meals at sensible hours — any of these makes a visible difference. Someone else usually has to start it. On their own, they put up with bad conditions indefinitely. Then they wonder why the week went so badly.
An INFj reads a group's mood accurately. They refuse to work it. They can tell what's needed. They won't supply it, because a feeling put on for an audience isn't one they can respect. One on one, with someone they trust, they're expressive in a way the group version never hints at.
An INFj generally knows how this ends. They say so lightly, if at all. The read is usually right. It comes out as a soft qualification, not a warning — a remark that only makes sense to you about two years later. They don't press it. And they get no particular pleasure out of having been right.

An ESTj takes over the practical machinery an INFj quietly wants lifted, and gets back a reading of people no procedure produces.
An ISTp makes the ordinary day lighter and an INFj quicker to laugh. By the third morning both are tired, and the rhythms never settle.
An ENFp works the same ground in reverse order. Possibility comes first and the personal verdict second, which an INFj finds familiar and slightly wrong.
An ESTp leads with the exact force an INFj has no answer to: interesting from across a room, grinding at close range.
An ESFp supervises an INFj just by being in the room, wanting a decision now and getting compliance instead of an argument.
§5 At work
Hand an INFj the work that runs on judgment about people. The hire nobody can agree on, the client who has gone quiet, the junior about to leave for the wrong reason. Keep enforcement off their desk: the unpaid invoice, the loud supplier, the meeting that has to be won in the room. Give them a written process instead of a live negotiation, and one competent person to ask about procedure. Decent hours and a decent desk raise the output more than encouragement does.

Who is the INFj's dual?
An INFj's dual is ESTj, the logical-sensory extravert. Picture the tax form that has sat in a drawer since spring, filled in on a Sunday by somebody who calls it a twenty-minute job and never mentions it again. What goes back the other way is an accurate, unflattering read on who can be relied on.
Which quadra is INFj in, and what does that mean?
In socionics, INFj belongs to the delta quadra, alongside ESTj, ENFp and ISTp. Delta runs on Fi, Ne, Te and Si: personal loyalty, latent potential, work that actually functions, ordinary physical comfort. What it does not run on is force, or group feeling worked up for effect.
