EII and SLI: activation
EII and SLI lift each other on contact and tire each other out by Sunday. Activation puts each one's lead function on what the other is trying to grow, so SLI and EII start fast and never settle into a rhythm. The compatibility is short-range: good for a trip, harder for a household.
Fun fast, tiring long. Each of you leads with what the other is trying to grow. Energizing on contact, exhausting over a long weekend. Your rhythms never quite sync.

§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- The wobbly desk gets fixed before the EII even mentions it, and tea appears at the hour it's actually wanted. The SLI's base Si tends the EII's mobilizing Si without discussion, and that silence is the only delivery the EII would accept.
- The EII's creative Ne names what the SLI could still become — the course worth taking, the talent going unused. The SLI asks for nothing out loud. Unprompted material like that is what the suggestive Ne slot lives on.
- Which glue, which insurance, which train: the SLI's creative Te has the answer, flat and correct. The EII's suggestive Te stops agonizing and buys the ticket, faintly surprised that the decision took one sentence.
- Once, plainly, the EII states the attachment, and the SLI keeps that sentence for years. The SLI's mobilizing Fi can't fish for such things. The EII's base Fi doesn't have to be asked.
- Affection here takes the form of acts — the mended jacket, the kept promise. The SLI's vulnerable Fe never gets tested, because the EII has no appetite for performed feeling either. Both of them call the arrangement honesty.
Where it grinds
- There's a noisy neighbor, an underpaying client, and a relative on week three of the sofa. Both of them wait for each problem to feel ashamed and leave on its own. The EII's vulnerable Se can't push, and the SLI won't spend their own Se.
- Every silence gets checked for meaning. The EII's base Fi reads the relationship continuously. The SLI's mobilizing Fi wanted a plain word now and then, and ends up feeling monitored under its own roof.
- By the fourth reminder to eat, the care starts landing as a verdict. The SLI's base Si steadily regulates windows, meals, and jackets. The EII wants that in small amounts, and past the dose it reads as management.
- For the EII, the in-law visit is scheduled and carries moral weight. The SLI decides that morning, by the feel of the day. Every time, the cancellation lands as a broken promise, and the insistence lands as pressure.
- Under strain they each retreat — the EII into conscience, the SLI into the workshop. Neither one owns the light remark that would end a standoff. A disagreement can run a silent week in a shared apartment, both certain the other knows why.
