EII and SEE are not on level ground: SEE leads with the element EII is weakest at, and presses on it without effort or intent. Supervision has a direction, so SEE and EII live in the same relation differently — one feels watched, the other feels interested. The compatibility is asymmetric.

§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- The SEE's creative Fi recognizes the EII's base Fi as the real thing. They cross-check their readings of third parties. The EII's are the ones the SEE doesn't second-guess.
- The apartment gets found. The price gets argued down. The line gets skipped. The SEE moves the physical world on the EII's behalf, and for someone who can't push, being pushed for is a real service.
- The EII's creative Ne reads what a person could become. Once briefed, the SEE bets on that person early. The bets pay off often enough. The SEE keeps coming back for the briefing.
- Both settle arguments with Te. It sits suggestive in one stack and mobilizing in the other. In each of their ledgers, the friend who arrives with tools outranks the friend who arrives with theories.
- In a crisis, they split the work without discussing it. The SEE commandeers logistics by force of nature, and the EII holds the sickroom's morale one person at a time. Nobody ever calls a meeting.
Where it grinds
- The SEE announces decisions mid-motion and changes plans by fiat — base Se at cruising speed. The EII agrees in the doorway. Then they spend the rest of the week recovering the self that agreed.
- Objections from the EII show up a day late, in writing, and scrupulously fair. The SEE settles matters in the moment. To them, the letter reads as an appeal against a verdict that's already been served.
- To the EII's base Fi, the SEE's creative Fi looks instrumental: warmth deployed to win things. The SEE, in turn, finds the EII's ethics ornamental — lovely judgments that never survive a live negotiation. Both keep this assessment private for years.
- When a protege stops paying off, the SEE's interest ends. The EII's has barely started. Is this still useful, asks the SEE's role Ne, and the EII hears the whole idea of people being liquidated.
- They vacation at campaign speed. The SEE plans a route of conquests, while the EII wanted to sit with one landscape until it said something. The itinerary grants it forty minutes.
