§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- The ESI takes the SLI's creative efficiency straight into a grateful suggestive Te slot. The SLI fixes the brake noise, plugs the budget leak, states the one fact that settles the appliance question. The ESI trusts all of it, and rarely says so.
- Clear verdicts on people are what the SLI's mobilizing Fi feeds on, and the ESI supplies them. Told plainly that the cousin is using them, the SLI nods, adjusts, and is quietly glad somebody keeps that ledger.
- Delta and gamma share the Te-with-Fi values: no scenes, no cheer on demand, loyalty proven through maintenance. An anniversary here is a rebuilt porch and one good dinner, and both prefer it that way.
- The SLI's base Si is fluent to an ESI who holds Si as a demonstrative, so the comfort-craft gets read and returned in kind during illness. Convalescence here is well run.
- They can share a silent car, split the errands by standing custom, and go years without a negotiation. Both are quiet sensing types who treat talk as what happens when the system fails.
Where it grinds
- The ESI's creative Se washes over the SLI's ignoring slot. An ultimatum about the brother-in-law, delivered with force, gets received like weather and simply outlasted. The ESI escalates; the SLI reupholsters a chair.
- Ne is what the SLI's suggestive slot goes hungry for — what-ifs, new possibilities — and the ESI's vulnerable Ne treats speculation as a defect of character. The SLI grazes elsewhere for novelty, and the ESI duly logs it.
- Fi is identity on only one side of this pair. The ESI's base verdicts are absolute; the SLI's mobilizing Fi is an appetite rather than a spine. Asked to cut off an old coworker on principle, the SLI just goes quieter about the coworker.
- Nobody performs feeling here — Fe sits vulnerable for the SLI, ignored by the ESI. The marriage's warmth gets inferred rather than displayed, and in a bad year the inference runs short.
- The ESI admires the SLI's hands and stops there. Repairs get absorbed as the house simply working. The ESI's spoken praise is reserved for moral courage, which the SLI never displays on schedule.
