ESI ⟵ IEE MODEL A
Supervision

The watched feeling. IEE's leading function presses on ESI's vulnerable slot — continuously, without effort and without malice. Supervision has a direction; this page reads IEE → ESI.

▸ New to socionics? The 90-second primer

Socionics builds types from eight information elements (Ne, Si, Ti, Fe…) placed into eight fixed slots — the slot decides how the element behaves in you.

The three-letter code (ESI) names the top two slots. It looks like an MBTI type; it doesn't convert cleanly — which is the kind of disagreement this site exists to measure.

Want the fuller version? The basics page covers elements, functions, quadras, and the two models.

§1 HOW THE STACKS COLLIDE — unique to this pair
elementin ESIin IEEwhat happens
Fibase (1)creative (2)ESI lives here; IEE visits, skillfully
Secreative (2)role (3)ESI's craft is IEE's obligation
Tirole (3)vulnerable (4)ESI's chore lands on IEE's bruise
Nevulnerable (4)base (1)IEE leads with ESI's sore spot — pressure from above
Tesuggestive (5)mobilizing (6)both want it; neither has it
Nimobilizing (6)ignoring (7)IEE has it and won't perform it; ESI wanted the performance
Feignoring (7)demonstrative (8)strong meets strong; neither shows it off
Sidemonstrative (8)suggestive (5)ESI covers it in passing; IEE feeds quietly

slots, in one line: base & creative = native strengths · role = performed on demand · vulnerable = the sore spot · suggestive & mobilizing = what's wanted from others · ignoring & demonstrative = strong but not valued. Full definitions on each type page.

§2 IN PRACTICE

Where it clicks

  1. ESI finds IEE substantial — the pressure reads as depth, at first.
  2. IEE finds ESI interesting: receptive, a little opaque, worth correcting.
  3. In small structured doses — mentorship with exits — the transfer is real.

Where it grinds

  1. ESI can never quite answer back; replies land beside the point, and both notice.
  2. IEE doesn't feel the pressing, so requests to stop read as oversensitivity.
  3. It escalates with closeness. The classical advice is distance, and it's right.
§3 DO THE SCHOOLS AGREE HERE?

MODEL A Intertype relations are classical canon — this page is Model A ground. MODEL G keeps the frame but weights temperament and communication energy differently; where that changes a reading, we say so. Nothing here is invented to manufacture a disagreement. method →
