ESI and ILI: activation
ESI and ILI lift each other on contact and tire each other out by Sunday. Activation puts each one's lead function on what the other is trying to grow, so ILI and ESI start fast and never settle into a rhythm. The compatibility is short-range: good for a trip, harder for a household.

Where it clicks
- The ESI's creative Se picks the week the resignation letter goes out, and out it goes. The ILI drafted it a year ago. The shove lands on the ILI's suggestive Se and gets taken with something close to gratitude.
- The ILI's creative Te delivers flat, correct verdicts — which mechanic is honest, which fund is a fee trap. The ESI's suggestive Te takes them as care. In this dialect, that's what they are.
- The ESI's base Fi keeps the ledger of who is actually a friend, and the ILI's mobilizing Fi borrows it constantly. The ILI tracks trends well and bonds badly, so the map fills a real gap.
- The ILI says this employer will fold within two years, and the ESI plans around it. A forecast delivered as a verdict suits the ESI's mobilizing Ni. The same content offered as a brainstorm would have hit the vulnerable Ne instead.
- Nobody here needs cheer on cue. The ILI's vulnerable Fe never gets tested, and the ESI ignores emotional theater as a matter of policy. Silence in the car counts as company, not as a symptom to be treated.
Where it grinds
- When plan A dies — the layoff, the failed sale — this household produces a critique of plan A. Alternatives occur to neither of them. The ESI's vulnerable Ne can't generate any, and the ILI keeps their own Ne parked.
- The ILI's base Ni comments continuously on how things are degrading. The ESI's mobilizing Ni wanted one forecast to plan around, and instead lives under a permanent fog advisory. In time that starts to read as disloyalty to the household.
- The tribunal never adjourns. The ESI's base Fi issues verdicts on the ILI's friends, colleagues, and cousin. The ILI's mobilizing Fi wanted orientation, not a docket, and quietly stops submitting names.
- The ESI's week has fixed days for cleaning, calls, and the gym. The ILI's week has tides. To the ESI the drift looks like disrespect. To the ILI the schedule sounds like noise, and Sunday is when the hearing convenes.
- Nobody in this pairing lifts the room. After a funeral, or just a bad month, the apartment goes gray for weeks and guests notice the air. Neither one has working Fe to spend, and neither can name what's missing.
