Where it clicks
- The EII accepts the ILI's creative pragmatism gratefully — a suggestive Te slot doesn't get fed often. Which charity is a fraud, which contract clause bites — the ILI states the fact without ceremony. The EII is spared another kindness they couldn't afford.
- The EII's moral clarity feeds something real in the ILI's mobilizing Fi. Around the EII, the ILI's misanthropy softens into discernment — this one is worth trusting, and here's why. The ILI keeps coming back for that.
- Both quadras, gamma and delta, value Te with Fi. So there are no pep talks, no group cheer, and obligations get honored exactly. Each finds the other restfully honest about money.
- The ILI's base Ni finds a demonstrative slot waiting in the EII, so the long forecasts get followed without strain. The EII adds the human consequences the ILI left out, and the predictions come back annotated.
- The EII ignores Fe and the ILI holds it as a sore spot, so nobody ever requests enthusiasm. Visits run on tea and one good conversation. Both leave restored.
Where it grinds
- The ILI files the EII's creative Ne under sentiment, which is what an ignoring slot does. What this student, this stray, this failing nephew could become — the EII's readings go unheard. The ILI is occasionally, expensively wrong about one of them.
- Se lives here only as the ILI's suggestive hunger and the EII's vulnerable dread. Neither can wield it. The rude neighbor, the broken lease, the doctor who won't listen — both wait for an enforcer who isn't coming.
- The ILI delivers hard truths flat, and the EII takes each one personally on somebody else's behalf. The forecast that the nephew will disappoint by spring is accurate. The EII grieves it twice — the first time immediately.
- The ILI's foresight draws all the admiration, and almost none comes back. The EII's daily fidelity — remembering, forgiving, showing up — is background climate to the ILI until the one week it stops. That week scores poorly.
