§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- The ILI receives the LSI's creative push with something like gratitude, suggestive Se being what it is. The ILI has predicted the outcome for months and done nothing about it. The LSI sets a date and stands there until motion occurs.
- The ILI's forecasts are exactly what the LSI's mobilizing Ni is hungry for. Which supplier folds, which policy reverses: the LSI asks, listens, and adjusts the plan, and that encouragement gets the ILI forecasting more.
- Across beta and gamma, both of them value the Se and Ni axis, so no one proposes brainstorming and no one demands cheer. Their planning sessions run short, grim, and accurate.
- Ti sits base for the LSI and demonstrative for the ILI, so the LSI's systems get a competent audit free of charge. The ILI spots the contradiction in clause four with visible boredom, and the LSI corrects it with respect.
- Neither of them performs for the other. They spend two evenings a week in the same room, chess or accounts or nothing at all, and both would privately call it restful.
Where it grinds
- The ILI's creative Te goes straight into the LSI's ignoring slot. Data on what actually worked elsewhere gets trumped by the LSI's internal scheme of what's correct, so the spreadsheet sits there, right and unread.
- The LSI's suggestive slot wants an emotional atmosphere the ILI simply can't generate, so the ILI's vulnerable Fe and the LSI's hunger for it starve together. Celebrations turn into logistics. Both notice what the household lacks, mostly at weddings.
- The LSI's base Ti meets its demonstrative twin in the ILI, which makes for a jaded student. The ILI absorbs the LSI's system, notes that it's the third such system, and quietly predicts this one's half-life too.
- Se enforcement doesn't read the same across quadras. The LSI corrects the ILI's habits on principle, but the gamma ILI complies only where consequences actually live, so the unenforceable rules pile up like treaty violations.
- When something presses on the LSI's vulnerable Ne, a plan dissolving, a sudden option, the ILI offers a prophecy instead of alternatives, since Ne is the ILI's ignoring slot. Certainty about doom isn't the reassurance it sounds like.
