§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- One sentence from the ILI — that platform takes thirty percent — saves the IEE a whole season. The ILI's creative Te lands on the IEE's mobilizing slot, so the fact-check feels like fuel. Correction that would sting from anybody else doesn't sting from the ILI.
- The IEE builds the bond deliberately. Steady, explicit warmth from their creative Fi gets through where hints would fail. The ILI's Fi is mobilizing — the wanting is real, the reaching is not — so the IEE does the reaching for both of them.
- Domestic standards run mercifully low on both sides. Neither is punctual about the dishes. Neither audits the other's laundry cycle. After tidier partners, their shared tolerance for mild chaos feels like amnesty.
- Nothing obliges the ILI to cheer up. Fe is the IEE's demonstrative slot, deployed as irony, never demanded of other people. The ILI's flat delivery gets left in peace — and privately collected as material.
- New enthusiasms go through a ritual stress test. The IEE brings the scheme, and the ILI's skepticism strips it to the frame. Whatever survives is worth doing. Both of them would deny how much they enjoy this.
Where it grinds
- The IEE's daily crop of openings and fascinating strangers lands in the ILI's ignoring slot. The tenth possibility gets the same flat unlikely as the first. In time the IEE routes the good ones around the ILI entirely — both of them notice, neither mentions it.
- The ILI's long trajectories go just as unheard. Where the habit leads and how the decade ends is base Ni, and the IEE's ignoring slot tunes it out as mood, not information. The error repeats right on schedule. The ILI's silence about it is its own commentary.
- To win a point, the ILI tightens definitions with demonstrative Ti — that is not what the word always means. But Ti is the IEE's vulnerable slot, and the audit reads as hostility from the one logician the IEE had decided to trust.
- The launch never actually happens. Se sits weak on both sides, so the project gets designed, forecast, and refined while each waits for the other to force the issue. The domain name renews every year, unvisited.
- The guest math never closes. The IEE collects people, the ILI subtracts them, and the compromise dinner leaves the IEE understimulated and the ILI tired anyway. Hosting settles into a once-a-quarter treaty neither remembers signing.
