LII ↔ EIE MODEL A
Semi-duality

Half of duality — reliably the wrong half. The leading functions cover each other exactly as in duality; the support functions don't. Strong starts, weak rescues.

▸ New to socionics? The 90-second primer

Socionics builds types from eight information elements (Ne, Si, Ti, Fe…) placed into eight fixed slots — the slot decides how the element behaves in you.

The three-letter code (LII) names the top two slots. It looks like an MBTI type; it doesn't convert cleanly — which is the kind of disagreement this site exists to measure.

Want the fuller version? The basics page covers elements, functions, quadras, and the two models.

§1 HOW THE STACKS COLLIDE — unique to this pair
elementin LIIin EIEwhat happens
Tibase (1)suggestive (5)supply meets demand
Necreative (2)demonstrative (8)LII works at what EIE does in passing
Firole (3)ignoring (7)LII strains at it; EIE covers it without ceremony
Sevulnerable (4)mobilizing (6)EIE's enthusiasm lands on LII's bruise
Fesuggestive (5)base (1)demand meets supply
Simobilizing (6)vulnerable (4)LII's enthusiasm lands on EIE's bruise
Teignoring (7)role (3)LII covers without ceremony what EIE strains at
Nidemonstrative (8)creative (2)LII's background hum under EIE's craft

slots, in one line: base & creative = native strengths · role = performed on demand · vulnerable = the sore spot · suggestive & mobilizing = what's wanted from others · ignoring & demonstrative = strong but not valued. Full definitions on each type page.

§2 IN PRACTICE

Where it clicks

  1. First meetings run themselves — the lead axis is fully covered.
  2. Interest is real: each has a main strength the other genuinely wants.
  3. Recovery after distance is quick; the opening chemistry re-arms.

Where it grinds

  1. Support fails precisely under load — the helper reaches for a tool the other doesn't want.
  2. Near-miss quality: close enough to retry, wrong enough to fail, repeatedly.
  3. Intimacy plateaus below what the opening promised.
§3 DO THE SCHOOLS AGREE HERE?

MODEL A Intertype relations are classical canon — this page is Model A ground. MODEL G keeps the frame but weights temperament and communication energy differently; where that changes a reading, we say so. Nothing here is invented to manufacture a disagreement. method →
