§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- The heat works, meals happen at regular hours, and the good chair somehow ends up under the reading lamp. The LSE's creative Si handles the chores the LII only aspires to. The LII's mobilizing slot takes all of it as unrequested, entirely correct kindness.
- In return, the LII deals in options. Have you considered the other supplier is creative Ne aimed at the LSE's mobilizing slot — and the LSE, who has a real appetite for prospects, has checked it out by Tuesday.
- Disagreements between them stay factual, since both are logical types. Nobody cries over a spreadsheet. Nobody calls a feelings summit. A quiet evening of working in parallel counts, for both of them, as time well spent.
- They never need a treaty over practical territory. The LSE just does the operational work, and the LII — whose Te is strong but deliberately shelved — feels no urge to contest the garage. A turf war never even starts.
- Silence sits easy between them. In the car, neither reads the quiet as trouble. The LSE is planning the route, the LII is off arguing with an author somewhere, and both of them count this as companionship.
Where it grinds
- The LII opens with first we should define what clean means, addressed to somebody already holding the mop. That's base Ti landing in the LSE's ignoring slot — the LSE can follow the definitional ladder just fine and refuses to climb it. They discuss results. They never discuss premises.
- The briefing goes unheard in the other direction. The LSE's stream of costs, procedures, and gutter-maintenance facts is base Te. The LII backgrounds Te on principle — nodding through all of it, retaining exactly the first sentence.
- In a hurry, the LSE goes brisk and physical with demonstrative Se — up, now, we're late. That kind of pressure is the LII's vulnerable slot. The LII makes it to the car on time, and is absent in every other sense until evening.
- The LII's ten-year musings do their own damage. Where the industry is headed, where the marriage is headed — it all reads as fog to the LSE's vulnerable Ni. The discomfort surfaces as irritability about something else entirely.
- Their joint venture is the famous casualty. The LSE ships while the LII is still proving the system sound. The product goes out wrong or goes out late, and each privately decides the other is the tempo problem.
