The uncanny colleague. Same topics, incompatible methods. Everything about the other is familiar, and none of it is usable.

▸ New to socionics? The 90-second primer

Socionics builds types from eight information elements (Ne, Si, Ti, Fe…) placed into eight fixed slots — the slot decides how the element behaves in you.

The three-letter code (LII) names the top two slots. It looks like an MBTI type; it doesn't convert cleanly — which is the kind of disagreement this site exists to measure.

Want the fuller version? The basics page covers elements, functions, quadras, and the two models.

§1 HOW THE STACKS COLLIDE — unique to this pair
elementin LIIin ILIwhat happens
Tibase (1)demonstrative (8)LII leads; ILI matches it absently, without ceremony
Necreative (2)ignoring (7)LII applies with care what ILI shrugs off
Firole (3)mobilizing (6)LII strains to give what ILI wants more of
Sevulnerable (4)suggestive (5)ILI asks for the one thing LII cannot give
Fesuggestive (5)vulnerable (4)LII asks for the one thing ILI cannot give
Simobilizing (6)role (3)LII's ambition meets ILI's obligation — awkward encouragement
Teignoring (7)creative (2)LII dismisses what ILI does best
Nidemonstrative (8)base (1)LII does absently what ILI is

slots, in one line: base & creative = native strengths · role = performed on demand · vulnerable = the sore spot · suggestive & mobilizing = what's wanted from others · ignoring & demonstrative = strong but not valued. Full definitions on each type page.

§2 IN PRACTICE

Where it clicks

  1. Endless material for conversation.
  2. Deceptively easy to begin — the vocabulary matches.
  3. Low conflict while stakes stay low.

Where it grinds

  1. Translation fatigue: same words, shifted meanings.
  2. Work can't be handed off between you; it must be redone.
  3. Each privately considers the other a worse version of themselves.
§3 DO THE SCHOOLS AGREE HERE?

MODEL A Intertype relations are classical canon — this page is Model A ground. MODEL G keeps the frame but weights temperament and communication energy differently; where that changes a reading, we say so. Nothing here is invented to manufacture a disagreement. method →
