LII and ILI: quasi-identity
LII and ILI share topics and cannot share methods. Quasi-identity keeps the vocabulary familiar and the meanings shifted, so work handed between ILI and LII has to be redone rather than continued. The compatibility is conversational; it does not survive a deadline.
Looks like you. Isn't. Same topics, methods that don't mix. Everything about them is familiar, and none of it is usable.

§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- Silence comes naturally to both of them. The shared office can go four hours without a word, and neither reads it as a mood. Visitors find the quiet eerie. The residents consider it standard issue.
- Each can correct the other. Between the LII's base Ti and the ILI's demonstrative Ti, either one can spot the flaw in the other's argument. The correction gets accepted without ceremony, because it's correct.
- Fashion doesn't move either of them. No purchase, opinion, or diet gets into this household just because everyone else has one. Evangelists of every kind get the same polite refusal, from two different logics.
- In this house, reading counts as doing something together. Two armchairs, two unrelated books, and the occasional paragraph read aloud across the room add up to what both score as a full evening. They'd defend the scoring.
- Debunking things is their shared sport. The LII takes apart the structure of the neighbor's investment scheme. The ILI's creative Te cites the track record the scheme ignores. It doesn't survive dinner.
Where it grinds
- The LII lays out ten readings of the situation. The ILI's ignoring Ne collapses them to the one likely outcome and dismisses the rest as dead branches. To the LII, that pruning kills the interesting part.
- Nothing in this house gets bought, booked, or repaired. The ILI's suggestive Se waits for someone to force the issue. The LII's vulnerable Se guarantees that force is the one thing the household never contains. The broken water heater enters its third week.
- Every so often the LII shyly asks for the evening to be lifted — a suggestive Fe request. The ILI's vulnerable Fe hears a demand to perform and goes even flatter. Both retreat, and each takes the retreat as confirmation.
- The ILI delivers forecasts as verdicts. The LII holds demonstrative Ni without ever claiming it, so each prediction gets treated as one input among several. The ILI reads that as ignoring the obvious. In this house, the word probably can start an argument.
- When they argue, the ILI reasons from what has actually worked. The LII's ignoring Te sets that whole category aside in favor of internal consistency. So the renovation debate pits one person citing contractors against one citing first principles, indefinitely.
