LII and ESE: duality
LII and ESE are duals, the easiest of the sixteen relations. Duality is a claim about coverage: what ESE and LII each find expensive, the other does without noticing. It is the strongest compatibility claim on this site.
Easy. The one. Each of you leads with the thing the other most wants handed to them. The claim is narrow: coverage, not chemistry. Duals make each other's lives easier, not more exciting.

§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- The LII sits at the edge of every gathering until the ESE builds the room's warmth up around them. The Fe is suggestive, so the thaw feels like a gift, not an intrusion — and producing it never costs the ESE anything.
- When the ESE asks whether the plan is sound, the LII answers in one clean paragraph. The ESE's suggestive Ti takes structure from this one source gratefully — and resents it from every other.
- The ESE notices the LII skipped lunch again and just produces food, no hearing required. That's the kind of care the LII's mobilizing Si answers to — offered as encouragement, never as an audit of their habits.
- The LII's creative Ne hands the ESE an alternative reading right when the ESE's mobilizing Ne is hunting for its next prospect. The move to the coast started as the LII's stray remark. The ESE built a life around it.
- Nothing useful happens before Thursday, the LII says, and means it. The ESE's vulnerable Ni takes waiting as an injury, so the LII's demonstrative Ni turns the open days into a schedule. The ESE stops pacing at the window.
Where it grinds
- An ESE in full flight herds people physically — hands on shoulders, now, up, out the door. The push lands on the LII's vulnerable Se, and the freeze it causes outlasts the outing by days. The ESE reads that freeze as ingratitude.
- Under load, the LII's demonstrative Ni goes ironic: this restaurant will close within a year, that marriage has eighteen months left. The ESE is weak at forecasts, so they can't evaluate the prophecy — and can't put it down either.
- The ESE narrates the day as a cast of named people. The LII compresses it to conclusions. The ESE finds the LII's account skeletal, the LII finds the ESE's unindexed — and they're both describing the same Tuesday.
- Fe is the ESE's staple diet and the LII's delicacy. By the third dinner party in a week, the LII's suggestive slot has overdosed. The guest who charmed everyone on Friday is a silent fixture by Sunday.
- A decision the LII wants to sit with for two weeks costs the ESE two weeks of open-ended waiting — the one thing vulnerable Ni can't absorb. So the ESE forces an early answer. The LII gives a worse one. They both notice.
