SEE and ESI: mirror
SEE and ESI run the same two functions in the opposite order. Mirror relations mean shared subject matter and reversed seriousness: ESI and SEE keep editing each other's emphasis, and the work usually improves. The compatibility is collegial — high on understanding, low on rest.
Same work, opposite order. Your base and creative functions are swapped. Same interests, reversed seriousness — each of you treats as craft what the other treats as calling.

§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- They run recruitment and vetting as a single office. The SEE brings people in — base Se plus creative Fi, working the room one person at a time. The ESI decides who stays — base Fi issuing the verdict, creative Se enforcing it at the door.
- A friend in trouble gets action instead of discussion. One shows up with money and a car while the other confronts the landlord by name. The problem is handled before most couples would've finished deciding whether it was their business.
- The ESI's demonstrative Si holds the household steady underneath the SEE's campaigns, so the meals and the laundry survive every new venture. The SEE's demonstrative Fe warms rooms the ESI would've left cold. Their front door stays busier than the ESI alone would ever allow.
- Talk impresses neither of them. What counts is results — loyalty demonstrated at real cost, money actually delivered. By shared gamma standards, the friend who performs generosity and the colleague who narrates effort both get identified within a single dinner.
- One evening is enough to handle a rude relative. The ESI names the violation precisely. The SEE applies the charm and the pressure in whichever order works. The relative ends up apologizing without ever figuring out which of the two decided this.
Where it grinds
- You said the opposite on Tuesday. The ESI keeps minutes, and that role-Ti demand for consistency strikes the SEE's vulnerable Ti dead center. The SEE was improvising then and is improvising now, and takes the citation as a trap laid in advance.
- The SEE's speculative schemes run into a wall. The new business, the move south — floated from role Ne, they land on the ESI's vulnerable Ne as unseriousness itself. When the ESI refuses even to discuss them, the SEE reads the refusal as a personal verdict.
- Their standing conflict is the network versus the ledger. The SEE keeps befriending people the ESI crossed out years ago, so every dinner invitation reopens a closed file. The ESI's verdicts are permanent, the SEE's roster is not. Neither system gives an inch.
- Neither one of them does forecasts. Both take in Ni and Te rather than produce them, so the big purchase happens on impulse or on principle, with nobody auditing either. Ask the five-year question and you get a shrug from two directions.
- Each quietly downgrades the other's calling to a technique. The SEE deploys relationships as leverage, which the ESI reads as insincerity in Fi's clothing. The ESI wields force only as enforcement, which the SEE finds joyless — Se with no appetite in it. Neither ever says it out loud.
