SEE and ILI: duality
SEE and ILI are duals, the easiest of the sixteen relations. Duality is a claim about coverage: what ILI and SEE each find expensive, the other does without noticing. It is the strongest compatibility claim on this site.
Easy. The one. Each of you leads with the thing the other most wants handed to them. The claim is narrow: coverage, not chemistry. Duals make each other's lives easier, not more exciting.

§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- In the middle of a charm offensive, the SEE gets one flat sentence from the ILI: only two of those five people will matter in a year. That's base Ni landing on suggestive Ni. The SEE redirects the whole campaign without breaking stride.
- The apartment gets viewed today because the SEE decided in the elevator. The ILI's suggestive Se takes that decisiveness as oxygen — the armchair model of the housing market was entering its third month.
- What the SEE actually wants to know is what works, stripped of packaging. The ILI's creative Te supplies track records in a level voice, on request. The SEE's mobilizing Te takes the data in without ever feeling lectured.
- He's using you; she's loyal; drop the third one. The SEE's creative Fi hands the ILI moral coordinates in plain declarative sentences. The ILI's mobilizing Fi — modest but hungry — wanted precisely that kind of clarity.
- Parties divide cleanly between them. The SEE's demonstrative Fe runs the room, so nobody expects the ILI to glitter. The ILI reads the contract the SEE signed with a flourish, since exact definitions are the SEE's sore spot. Both call it a fair trade.
Where it grinds
- The ILI's demonstrative Ti corrects the SEE's terms mid-story: that isn't what leverage means. The SEE's vulnerable Ti hears a grade, not a footnote. The story dies on the table and takes some goodwill with it.
- The SEE drags the ILI into the toast, the singalong, the group photo. Enthusiasm on cue sits right on the ILI's vulnerable Fe — the one performance that can't be faked. The SEE reads the resulting flatness as deliberate sabotage.
- Deciding, for the SEE, means moving; for the ILI, it means waiting. The jacket gets bought while the ILI is still modeling depreciation. Each considers the other's method a character flaw with a price tag.
- The ILI's base Ni produces forecasts, and most of the forecasts are obituaries. Every prediction of failure lands mid-momentum. The SEE counters by acting bigger, and the ILI quietly files the outcome as evidence for next time.
- In the SEE's telling, who said what to whom arrives in full period costume. The ILI compresses it all to 'so nothing happened,' which is technically accurate and socially fatal. The researcher and the social club summarize the same evening in different currencies.
