Where it clicks
- The LSE's creative upkeep goes straight to the ILE's suggestive Si. Regular meals, a fixed desk, heat that actually works — the ILE thinks visibly better inside the LSE's maintenance and never manages to reconstruct why.
- The ILE's stream of possibilities lands on an eager customer, the LSE's mobilizing Ne. Pitch the LSE three schemes over breakfast and one has a budget by Friday. Encouragement, in this house, is a spreadsheet with your idea's name on it.
- Alpha and delta share the Ne-with-Si values: novelty is welcome, comfort is legitimate, and nobody needs a crisis to feel alive. Their weekend plans satisfy the workshop and the armchair both.
- The LSE's base Te speaks to a demonstrative slot on the ILE's side, so operational talk runs at full speed. The ILE can mind the shop for a week — ironically, but competently.
- As pragmatist and researcher, they prototype well together. The ILE finds the mechanism and the LSE builds the process around it. Two garage ventures have made it all the way to actual invoices this way.
Where it grinds
- The ILE's creative Ti runs into the LSE's ignoring slot. An elegant unifying framework gets asked exactly one question — does it ship — and the conversation ends there. The ILE keeps explaining the principle. The LSE keeps buying the parts.
- The LSE's vulnerable Ni finds no help here, because Ni sits in the ILE's ignoring slot too. Which of the seven projects will matter most in five years? Nobody can say, so all seven continue, expensively.
- The ILE's Fi is vulnerable, and the LSE's is a hungry suggestive slot, so neither can supply the skill. How close they actually are stays unaudited. Both learn the friendship's terms only when one of them breaks the terms.
- Their pacing grinds. The LSE finishes what they start; the ILE starts whatever they find. Every shelf in the garage holds an ILE project at forty percent, and the LSE has started labeling them by year.
- The LSE teaches by procedure; the ILE learns by principle. Shown the correct sequence for the table saw, the ILE derives a cleverer one — exactly once, with a finger nearly included in the result. The LSE now supervises, which neither enjoys.
