LSI and IEI: activation
LSI and IEI lift each other on contact and tire each other out by Sunday. Activation puts each one's lead function on what the other is trying to grow, so IEI and LSI start fast and never settle into a rhythm. The compatibility is short-range: good for a trip, harder for a household.
Fun fast, tiring long. Each of you leads with what the other is trying to grow. Energizing on contact, exhausting over a long weekend. Your rhythms never quite sync.

§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- The IEI has been circling the application for six weeks. The LSI's creative Se ends it in one evening — sit down, fill it in, sign it, send it. From anybody else that would be bullying. On the IEI's suggestive Se it lands as deliverance.
- When the IEI says where the office reorganization is really heading, the LSI listens. The LSI's mobilizing Ni trusts almost nobody's forecasts. This one gets filed under intelligence, not mood.
- Give the LSI one evening of the IEI's creative Fe — jokes pitched exactly right — and the week's severity drains out of them. The suggestive slot gets something the chain of command at work never supplies.
- The lease, the tax form, the dispute with the clinic: the LSI's base Ti reduces each one to three fixed points. The IEI's mobilizing Ti likes holding a small skeleton of certainty inside the fog.
- As beta introverts, they both prize loyalty over sociability. Neither one hauls the other to a party. Both keep permanent files on who has crossed them, and home is agreed territory, not a venue.
Where it grinds
- This household runs on rules, not receipts. The IEI's vulnerable Te can't face the numbers, and the LSI keeps their own Te shelved by choice. Nobody can say what the car costs per month, and asking gets treated as an insult.
- The IEI wanted one clear rule about the kitchen and got a regime. The LSI's base Ti keeps tightening. The IEI's mobilizing Ti has a fixed dose, and past it, doctrine about dish placement reads as occupation.
- The steady drizzle of omens wears the LSI down. The IEI's base Ni keeps murmuring that everything will shift anyway. The LSI's mobilizing Ni wanted a single usable forecast, and starts hearing this as sabotage of the plan.
- By nine the LSI has Saturday fully sequenced. The IEI surfaces at noon, unconvinced the errands even exist. One of them executes the whole itinerary alone, annotating it with silence, and the drive home is quiet in the wrong way.
- When the plan itself fails — the apartment sells late, the promotion track closes — neither of them produces alternatives. The LSI's vulnerable Ne treats brainstorming as noise, and the IEI waits for fate. They hold their position in a corridor that keeps narrowing.
