LSI and ILE: supervision (ILE supervises LSI)
LSI and ILE are not on level ground: ILE leads with the element LSI is weakest at, and presses on it without effort or intent. Supervision has a direction, so ILE and LSI live in the same relation differently — one feels watched, the other feels interested. The compatibility is asymmetric.

§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- Ti is the table they both sit at. The LSI's base Ti meets the ILE's creative Ti over tax categories or furniture instructions. The debate that follows is a real conversation, not a fight.
- The ILE sketches the renovation and the LSI actually builds it, level in hand, to spec. The researcher-and-pragmatist split works as long as the lanes stay marked: the ILE owns the idea, the LSI owns the sequence.
- The LSI's creative Se handles what the ILE can only perform: confronting the landlord, extracting the refund. The ILE watches the pressure applied cleanly and takes notes they'll never use.
- No one here demands an emotional performance. Both value Ti, so chores and money get settled by stated rule, and a quiet evening of parallel work counts as companionship on both sides.
- The moment the LSI's procedure hits a dead end, the ILE can name three exits inside a minute. The LSI adopts one, reformats it as doctrine, and never says where it came from. The ILE noticed, and doesn't care.
Where it grinds
- At dinner the ILE's base Ne lands square on the LSI's vulnerable slot: Portugal, a garage conversion, a career pivot, all of it hypothetical. The LSI hears the ground being loosened under a working system and tightens the schedule.
- They share Ti, but at different ranks. The ILE repurposes definitions mid-argument, and the LSI, who lives inside one consistent scheme, reads that as cheating. The correction that follows is thorough. It touches nothing the ILE actually meant.
- When the LSI says do it now, and do it right, the ILE's role Se produces about an hour of sincere compliance before they vanish into a new project. The LSI logs the pattern as unreliability. The ILE never logs it at all.
- They plan trips on two different clocks. The LSI books the itinerary and considers it closed. The ILE keeps reopening it with alternatives all the way to the gate. Only one of them is enjoying this.
- The more evenings they share, the more Ne the LSI absorbs without ever asking for any. Month by month the LSI gets quieter and stricter. The ILE reads the new strictness as fresh material to riff on, which closes the circle.
