SLI ↔ SEE MODEL A
Mirage

Restful, and unserious. Each casually covers what the other aspires to, while the leading functions talk past each other. Good for holidays; famously bad for enterprises.

▸ New to socionics? The 90-second primer

Socionics builds types from eight information elements (Ne, Si, Ti, Fe…) placed into eight fixed slots — the slot decides how the element behaves in you.

The three-letter code (SLI) names the top two slots. It looks like an MBTI type; it doesn't convert cleanly — which is the kind of disagreement this site exists to measure.

Want the fuller version? The basics page covers elements, functions, quadras, and the two models.

§1 HOW THE STACKS COLLIDE — unique to this pair
elementin SLIin SEEwhat happens
Sibase (1)ignoring (7)SLI leads with what SEE deliberately tunes out
Tecreative (2)mobilizing (6)help that lands
Nirole (3)suggestive (5)SEE asks for it; SLI can only perform it
Fevulnerable (4)demonstrative (8)the sore spot, shielded
Nesuggestive (5)role (3)SLI asks; SEE performs — thin supply, good intentions
Fimobilizing (6)creative (2)SLI's ambition, SEE's craft — coaching happens
Seignoring (7)base (1)SLI tunes out SEE's native tongue
Tidemonstrative (8)vulnerable (4)the sore spot, shielded

slots, in one line: base & creative = native strengths · role = performed on demand · vulnerable = the sore spot · suggestive & mobilizing = what's wanted from others · ignoring & demonstrative = strong but not valued. Full definitions on each type page.

§2 IN PRACTICE

Where it clicks

  1. Low-effort comfort: aspirations get topped up in passing.
  2. No pressure to perform on the lead axis — it isn't being watched.
  3. Easy peace; conflict requires effort neither will spend.

Where it grinds

  1. Joint ambitions dissolve; the relation optimizes for ease.
  2. Core priorities never align — they run on unwatched channels.
  3. Easily mistaken for duality until something difficult happens.
§3 DO THE SCHOOLS AGREE HERE?

MODEL A Intertype relations are classical canon — this page is Model A ground. MODEL G keeps the frame but weights temperament and communication energy differently; where that changes a reading, we say so. Nothing here is invented to manufacture a disagreement. method →
