SLI and IEE: duality
SLI and IEE are duals, the easiest of the sixteen relations. Duality is a claim about coverage: what IEE and SLI each find expensive, the other does without noticing. It is the strongest compatibility claim on this site.
Easy. The one. Each of you leads with the thing the other most wants handed to them. The claim is narrow: coverage, not chemistry. Duals make each other's lives easier, not more exciting.

§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- Nothing changes in the SLI's workshop until the IEE walks in with two buyers, one collaborator, and a use for the thing on the bench. That whirlwind is base Ne landing on suggestive Ne. The SLI takes it gratefully, at that dose.
- The wobbling chair gets fixed, the bike brakes get adjusted, the tea shows up at the correct minute. The SLI's base Si tends the IEE's suggestive slot without ever saying a word about it. The IEE experiences the maintenance as being known.
- Show the IEE the knot, the tool, the order of operations, and their mobilizing Te absorbs it happily. The SLI's creative Te teaches by demonstration — one pass, no lecture — which is the only format the IEE actually retains.
- The IEE's creative Fi keeps the relationship's books — naming where the two of them stand, tending the bond on purpose. The SLI's mobilizing Fi is plainly glad someone else is running that ledger.
- Contracts and assembly instructions hit the IEE's vulnerable Ti, so the SLI's demonstrative Ti untangles them in the margin, deadpan. In exchange, the IEE's demonstrative Fe fronts the social noise the SLI's vulnerable Fe can't price.
Where it grinds
- The IEE arrives home broadcasting delight and expects an echo. The SLI produces a nod. Display on cue sits on the SLI's vulnerable Fe — the one tax the household can't collect — and the IEE keeps reissuing the bill.
- Mid-project, the SLI asks the IEE to define 'basically done.' The demonstrative Ti comes out dry. The request for a definition lands on the IEE's vulnerable Ti like an exam sprung in the middle of a party.
- The tool wall has a system, and the IEE returns things to it by intuition. The SLI reads the misplaced wrench as contempt for order; the IEE literally can't hold the scheme in memory. The argument comes back quarterly and settles nothing.
- Hosting splits between them in a strange way. The IEE invites twelve people. The SLI cooks a serious dinner for all of them, then vanishes to the garage by nine. Guests ask whether the SLI is angry, and the IEE spends the rest of the party translating.
- By the fourth 'we could' in an hour, the SLI has stopped registering them. Suggestive Ne wants novelty in servings, not from a firehose, and the IEE's base Ne never shuts off. So the SLI quietly rations their attention, and the IEE mistakes the rationing for indifference.
