ENFP in socionics: IEE, EIE or ILE?

Yes points to IEE. Structural logic is their weak seat: a rule with no person in it looks like nothing worth obeying, and being graded against one stings for hours afterward. No points to ILE. An ILE would rather settle the definition first, because the argument only moves once it is settled, and builds those frameworks for sport before dropping them just as cheerfully. EIE wants a firm framework too, but wants somebody else to hold it, and gives loyalty to whoever does.

Taking the whole room is EIE: raising the stakes, carrying a difficult evening on your own voltage, leaving the group changed. Their lead function is the mood of a group. Going person by person scores toward IEE, and toward ILE at half the weight: an ILE circulates too. What separates those two is what you carry home. An IEE leaves with two people they now know well. An ILE leaves with the one idea that came up at the second conversation. Answer from an ordinary month.

Yes points to IEE. You could rank the people close to you by distance right now, and you set that distance deliberately. No points to ILE. Their weak seat is exactly this: they are the ones told, six weeks late, that something they said landed badly. EIE reads loyalties accurately, then puts the cause first anyway, so an EIE answers yes and overrides it. This is the item where IEE and ILE come apart cleanly, so answer it honestly rather than generously.

The mechanical rule you'll see elsewhere — keep the letters, flip j/p for introverts — maps ENFP to IEE (socionics ENFp). It assumes the two systems measure the same four dichotomies the same way. They don't quite: socionics builds its types from eight function positions, MBTI from four letter preferences, and the correspondence between them is genuinely contested — which is why every ≈MBTI equivalence on this site carries an asterisk (method §1).

Your four letters don't translate one-to-one — introverts in particular often land somewhere unexpected, and the two scoring schools don't always agree. That's why we test instead of assuming. Each candidate has a different dual: the type whose strong, valued functions sit where yours are weak and wanted, though two of the eight seats stay weak and unvalued, and nobody supplies those. It is the closest thing socionics has to a soulmate.

IEE's dual is SLI. An SLI keeps food, sleep and working method in order without being asked, which is the thing an IEE receives gratefully and never produces alone. The IEE opens up what the week could contain, and who is worth knowing in it — IEE and SLI.

EIE's dual is LSI. An LSI holds the framework and the line that does not move, which is what an EIE wants from outside and will give loyalty for. The EIE supplies the meaning, the timing, and the reason the line is worth holding — EIE and LSI.

ILE's dual is SEI. An SEI looks after comfort and the warmth of a room, both of which an ILE accepts with relief and cannot generate. The ILE brings the ideas and the branching that an SEI enjoys and would not start alone — ILE and SEI.
