ESTJ IN SOCIONICS
THE HONEST CONVERSION

There is no single "ESTJ socionics type." The two systems are cousins, not twins — so an ESTJ lands on one of 3 socionics types, and only your answers can say which. The candidates and their starting weights, stated openly:

§1 THE CANDIDATE SET

Most ESTJs land on LSE, who makes operations measurably smoother today. LSI fits when enforcing the correct scheme dominates, and a few land on LIE.

§2 WHY THE LETTERS DON'T JUST CONVERT

The mechanical rule you'll see elsewhere — keep the letters, flip j/p for introverts — maps ESTJ to LSE (socionics ESTj). It assumes the two systems measure the same four dichotomies the same way. They don't quite: socionics builds its types from eight function positions, MBTI from four letter preferences, and the correspondence between them is genuinely contested — which is why every ≈MBTI equivalence on this site carries an asterisk (method §1).

The conversion test treats your MBTI as evidence rather than an answer: ESTJ opens the candidate set above, ~20 targeted questions decide between the candidates, and if your answers point somewhere else entirely, they overrule the starting point — with a warning that says so.

Your answers decide between LSE · LSI · LIE.

§3 DO THE SCHOOLS AGREE ON YOU?

Whichever candidate wins, the result is scored twice: MODEL A is the classical verdict; MODEL G is Gulenko's school reading the same answers as energy rather than information. When they split, you see the split — margins included, free. New to all of this? the basics →
