EIE and LSI: duality
EIE and LSI are duals, the easiest of the sixteen relations. Duality is a claim about coverage: what LSI and EIE each find expensive, the other does without noticing. It is the strongest compatibility claim on this site.
Easy. The one. Each of you leads with the thing the other most wants handed to them. The claim is narrow: coverage, not chemistry. Duals make each other's lives easier, not more exciting.

§2 In practice
Where it clicks
- The EIE asks which of the three arguments actually holds, and the LSI's base Ti supplies the answer without strain. The EIE's suggestive slot takes it as nourishment, not correction — a trick no colleague ever managed.
- At parties the LSI stands correctly and feels nothing move until the EIE starts running the emotional weather. This is base Fe landing on suggestive Fe. The LSI gets to warm up without producing a single expression on their own credit.
- The deadline the EIE announces from the stage only becomes real because the LSI's creative Se enforces it — person by person, day by day. That push behind the proclamation is what the EIE's mobilizing Se was after all along.
- The EIE's creative Ni narrates where all of this is heading, and the LSI's mobilizing Ni has a genuine appetite for that confidence. The five-year arc the EIE sketches becomes the schedule the LSI executes.
- Around the mission, ironed shirts and regular dinners just appear. The LSI's demonstrative Si maintains the body the EIE's vulnerable Si keeps forgetting to feed. Neither of them ever has to discuss it.
Where it grinds
- When the EIE spins up a hypothetical for effect — we could just move to Lisbon — the LSI's vulnerable Ne can't hear it as theater. By morning the LSI has priced the shipping and drafted objections to a plan nobody made.
- Escalation means something different in each of their clubs. The EIE raises the stakes rhetorically, as drama. The LSI, a pragmatist, takes the words as an order of battle and starts enforcing. The EIE meant the speech; the LSI meant the consequences.
- The LSI's demonstrative Si comes with standards, and the standards harden into rules. Every remark about the correct way to load a dishwasher hits the EIE's vulnerable Si as an audit of slot 4. So the EIE performs wounded grandeur instead of loading it differently.
- For twenty minutes the EIE processes out loud, through meaning and metaphor. The LSI waits for the operative sentence. When the question comes at last — what do you need me to do — the EIE hears it as proof that nothing landed.
- Asked for reassurance, the LSI produces role Fi: three words, visibly effortful, technically responsive. The EIE, who wanted a performance, just stares. The words were true. That was never the assignment.
